Apex Male Photography creates headshots and editorial portraits for men in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding area. Whether you need a business profile picture, portfolio update or a more expressive fashion portrait, the session starts with the impression you want your images to make.
Headshots focus on a clear, recognisable portrait with natural expression. Editorial sessions offer more room to explore clothing, setting and mood. Guidance on posing and expression helps you work towards a look that feels like you, whether you are comfortable in front of a camera or trying a photoshoot for the first time.
Before the shoot, tell us where the images will be used and share any examples you like. A business profile, casting portfolio and social media portrait may need different framing, backgrounds and expressions. Discussing this first helps us plan a useful selection rather than a collection of similar shots.
Image use & delivery
Shoots are currently offered free on a time-for-print (TFP) basis. You receive a selected set of edited digital images, normally within 2–3 weeks. Copyright and permitted uses depend on the written agreement for your shoot; please confirm any business, publication or third-party use beforehand.
Your session
Your session is planned around the agreed location, look and intended use. Bring a small selection of clean, well-fitting outfits and any accessories that matter to your style. Multiple outfit changes can be included, with time to adjust your pose and expression between looks.
Planning & preparation
Allow around 1–3 hours, depending on outfit and location changes; the timing will be agreed before the shoot. We may take many photographs while exploring different expressions and lighting, then select and edit the strongest images. The total number of photographs taken is different from the final selection delivered.
For a consistent professional profile, bring the clothing you would normally wear in that setting. For editorial work, share a mood board or a few reference images so we can discuss the direction. Please mention any required image dimensions or submission deadline when enquiring.
